Our health insurance plan options include two traditional HMO plans as well as a high-deductible HMO plan. We pay 60% of the health insurance package while the employee pays 40%. Teacher of the Deaf—Outreach
WRSD is seeking a Teacher of the Deaf to join our Outreach division to provide consultation services to Deaf and hard of hearing students based on contracts with school districts as well as implement individual educational plans as requested by the contracting school district.

Primary Duties
Assess and evaluate the educational needs of each child and plan appropriate educational services as requested by the contracting district.
Assess and evaluate educational materials and be an active participant in the selection of said materials in conjunction with district staff.
Instruct students in academic areas as assigned.
Conduct evaluations as requested by the contracting district.
Participate in each child’s educational plan and attend team reviews.
Provide written quarterly progress reports and report cards as appropriate.
Work effectively with the Educational Audiologist, and all related service providers.
Implement and use technology as appropriate to enhance curricula.
Maintain regular district/parent communication.
Participate in program evaluation with staff and administration.

Requirements
Masters’ degree.
Massachusetts Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf.
Knowledge of communication modalities.
Intermediate Level Sign Language skills (SLPI).
Ability and willingness to travel.
