  • Deaf and Hard of Hearing children have a fundamental human right to full access in a language-rich environment that is intentionally designed to support their linguistic, academic, and social development.
  • Educational leaders who possess expertise in Deaf Education and a deep understanding of the unique needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children are vital to the success of high-quality schools and programs.
  • School leaders must continually engage in professional learning and critical dialogue centered on current research and best practices in Deaf education to remain effective and responsive to the evolving needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children.
  • Data collection and outcomes are essential to advancing educational equity and excellence for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children.
  • Educational environments should cultivate compassion, understanding, and community strength by embracing and valuing diverse perspectives and lived experiences.
